Is the Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus 2 Worth it?

When it comes to drawing digitaly for cheap, the ios app Procreate is the best on the market. This app turns your iPad into a Wacom Cintiq for only $5 on the app store. Making it the best tool for a digital artist that doesn't have a lot of money to spend. But the problem next is finding the stylus that can be used to draw in it.

Most cheap stylus for the iPad has a rubber nub that grips the screen, draging as you draw, making it hard to work with. Next are ones that have a disk at the end of the pen that acts as your fingure and most are transparnt, but they don't last long (most for six months) and dirt and get under them causing scratches on the screen. So when Wacom made the Intuos Creative Stylus 2, I was other joyed.

It has small tip like a real pen and not the rubber nub, bluetooth with customizable buttons, a rechagable battery that last up to 26 hours (that charges in less then an hour and half via 5volt usb), 2048 pressure levels, and works with most drawing apps on the iPad. When I got it, it came with a case that housed the pen, a replacement nib, and the usb go charging cable. The site and the papers in the pakage said that intergration was coming for Procreate. When the update hit, I downloaded it and found it to be disapointing.

The pen when used in portait mode was off to the right by a 1/4 of an inch but ws fine in landscape mode. It was jittering when I drew slowly and if you are zoomed out too far, it is off the mark by a lot. I found that the SDK that Procreate got from Wacom was glitchy and was not planed to be fixed ant this point. It can be used with Procreate but is not officaly supported. This wasn't that bad and understandable, but alot of these problems are found in all the intergrated apps. The other problem that bothers me is that the ad campaign was all based on using this pen with Procreate. An app that is listed as an essential app for the iPad. And after the problem came up, Wacom removed it from the intergrated coming soon section from the site but still uses the app for the ads for WICS2 with the understanding that it is the best drawing app for the iPad.

I give it a 2/5

Pros

-Now nub or disk needed to draw

-Rechargable battery

-Great design

-Comes with everything you need to use and maintain it

Cons

-Poor support

-Limited intergration

-Glitchly when drawing

-False advertisin

If they would try to fix the problem, I would be okay. But as of now they are not planing on it. For me, they have failed in making a stylus just for the iPad to be used for artist. It has turned into a cash grab. Now if they fixed it, I would change my statement but for now I say don't buy, Look else where.
